The Manager of Construction Audit is responsible for providing leadership for the Internal Audit & Advisory Services departments construction audit program. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Audit & Risk Services, the Construction Audit Manager will be expected to institute a risk based approach to conducting audits of construction projects and providing recommendations to senior management and project leaders on construction risks, business processes and systems supporting the construction operations. This position will have a close relationship with the Construction Services department to help identify, audit and collaborate on executing the construction audit program.
5 years of finance, management, public accounting and/or internal audit experience is required. Construction audit experience including types of construction contracts and associate risks, billing practices (including contractor labor rates and insurance billings), accounting systems, and subcontractor relationships is preferred. This position expects the candidate to have experience in displaying strong organizational skills, project management and administrative skills, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and collaborative working relationships.
