The Business and Operations Manager for the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department must be a highly motivated individual to manage the financial resources to advance the mission of the Department. The individual in this position will report to the Department Head of CEE and serve as his/her strategic adviser on a wide variety of issues as well as provide oversight and management of the budget and finances. A detailed understanding of finance and accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning, and effective management practices is required. Considerable understanding of the significance associated with the scientific research and teaching missions of the faculty is essential in order to oversee current support for Departmental activities and to plan creatively for the Department’s future. The individual in this position will also be responsible for researching, preparing, analyzing, and managing information related to projects, people, and programs.
