The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) at Colorado State University is seeking applicants for a Core Facilities (CORES) Business Manager. This position acts as the expert on fiscal matters associated with CORES administration.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, the Business Manager is responsible for managing CORES business operations on a daily basis. The position will assist with all critical missions defined by leadership and will develop and manage the facilities’ business plan and operations as well as all CORES departmental budgets. Will implement and oversee all accounting and business processes and is responsible for monitoring transactions and ensuring appropriate internal controls are maintained, especially as it pertains to recharge center accounts. • Bachelor’s degree in, Business and Financial Administration, Applied Information Systems or related field. • Minimum of two years’ demonstrated experience in operations management (front end or back-end, including demonstrated ability to develop a new business or information process). • Demonstrated detailed knowledge of fiscal/regulatory compliance in academia or applicable equivalent. • Minimum of three years of professional and/or technical financial accounting experience. • Minimum of three years demonstrated success working in a complex academic or business office. • Previous experience as a supervisor. • Strong written communication skills.
