The purpose of this position is to provide leadership for and implementation of two strategic projects at Harford Community College: Harford Community College @Edgewood and the North Star collaboration with Harford County Public Schools. These projects are designed to grow our presence in the county and ensure that Harford County Public Schools students have access to credit and non-credit courses and programs while enrolled at Harford County Public Schools.
Using a project management philosophy, the Director for Strategic Partnerships shepherds projects from development through implementation. To this end, the Director works with the Executive Leadership Team, key stakeholders on campus and in the community, and Harford Community College offices such as Finance, Registration, and Facilities.
Throughout the project, the Director for Strategic Partnerships works to identify goals; develops and implements proactive strategies to achieve project goals; ensures that projects remain in line with the College’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities; reviews and analyzes data sets; develops and monitors revenue-positive budgets; works with internal and external stakeholders to set long-term enrollment and revenue goals; when applicable, facilitates the development of business plans; procures resources and facility spaces to achieve goals; and meets regularly with stakeholders to provide updates and seek input. Other duties include serving on College committees, groups, and task forces, and directs multiple, internal, cross-functional teams.
The incumbent will be given agency by the Executive Leadership team for these complex and highly-visible projects that must be executed while building trust within the College and community.
This is an exempt, administrator position.
A master’s degree or higher in business, education, public administration or a related field and a minimum 3-years of experience planning and implementing projects are required.
Applicants must have experience in developing and maintaining community, educational and/or business partnerships; prior education leadership and/or project management experience; excellent communication and organizational skills; the ability to analyze data sets; the ability to be a change agent; and the ability to collaborate with multiple-stakeholders to achieve tangible goals.
Proficiency in a Windows-based computer environment, including MS Office Suite, is required.
PMP Certification and/or the ability to effectively use project management software collaboration tools are preferred.
