The Associate Vice President for Finance and CFO (AVP) is the University’s principal hands-on financial, business, and accounting executive, and plays a critical role in maintaining the University’s overall financial strength. The AVP reports directly to the Vice President for Administration and Finance and is a member of the President’s cabinet. Positions that report directly to the AVP include the University Controller; Assistant Vice President of Budget, Analysis and Reporting (secondary report; primary report is to Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost); Director of Management Advisory Services; Finance Coordinator; Special Assistant to the AVP; and Director of Business Services for the Division of Administration and Finance. The AVP has a close working relationship with University System’s financial officers, as well as other budget and finance officials with decentralized reporting lines throughout the University. The AVP is responsible for the university’s $2.3 billion budget, financial systems, internal and external financial reporting, and compliance and audit management.
