The California State University, Dominguez Hills Foundation (“Foundation”) is a non-profit organization and was incorporated in 1968 as a partner of the California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH or the “University”) to provide supplemental services that enhance core academic programs which are an integral part of the University’s educational mission. CSUDH is a highly diverse, metropolitan university primarily serving the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. CSUDH is one of 23 campuses that comprise the California State University System.

Salary: 66,000 - $81,000
The Office of Sponsored Research and Programs is responsible for Pre and Post Award operations on behalf of CSU Dominguez Hills. OSRP works closely with the CSUDH Foundation to support extramural funding for research, scholarly and creative activities on campus. The Post Award Analyst II is a vital part of the post-award team which provides financial oversight and ensures compliance in the management of these awards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of Sponsored Research and Programs the Post Award Analyst II will be responsible for the following:
Provide a high level of customer service to faculty, project directors, administrative staff, and sponsoring agencies.
Prepare invoices, financial reports, and other documentation, as required by sponsoring agencies.
Prepare subaward agreements and monitor subrecipients.
Analyze awards received from external funding agencies for required actions, terms, accuracy of funding, etc.
Review and setup new awards and present new award orientation to Principal Investigators (PIs) and project staff.
Provide guidance and training on CSU, CSUDH, CSUDH Foundation, and sponsor policies and procedures (such as Uniform Guidance, DHHS, USDA, Department of Education, NSF, NASA, NIH, Code of Federal Regulations, and the California Model Agreement).
Review purchase requisitions, payment authorizations, payroll time sheets, course release requests, etc. for accuracy and completeness and verify allowability and availability of funds.
Work with PIs on preparation and certification of effort reporting.
Accurately enter information into the financial system.
Review and prepare documents (correspondence, prior approval requests, etc.) for submission to funding agencies.
Request drawdown of funds through sponsoring agency electronic systems, as required.
Complete award close-out in a timely manner.
Participate in policy and procedure development, conduct training, provide audit information to supervisor upon request.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures relating to sponsored programs.
Interpret agency guidance to advise administrators and faculty.
Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
The following describes the ideal experience and attributes a successful candidate will offer:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Research Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. (Preferred)
• At least five years of experience in the post award administration of grants and contracts in a university setting.
• Knowledge of CSU Sponsored Programs policies.
• Experience using OneSolution.
• Experience with accounting principles, federal and non-federal pre and post-award policies.
• CRA or CFRA Certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to function effectively under tight deadlines and high volume.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/requests/assignments and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to utilize computerized systems – accounting, word processing, e-mail, internet, etc.
• Ability to maintain a detail-oriented workload.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent customer service orientation.

Employment at the Foundation is on an at-will basis and can be terminated by either an employee or the Foundation at any time with or without cause or advanced notice. Permanent status can neither be obtained nor granted.
