The IT Contract Administrator will report to the central IT Services organization. This position is responsible for managing and negotiating IT contracts for hardware, software, and services. The IT Contract Administrator will maintain an understanding and advise IT leadership on state and university procurement policies and procedures; negotiate requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws, policies and procedures of the university, system and state; develop and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors and campus partners; analyze contract risk to the institution and execute changes to reduce overall risk and exposure to the institution. This position is responsible for IT contract lifecycle management, developing a repository of contract data and contract documents and managing contract deliverables and vendor relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least three years of experience in contract management with at least one year of experience in negotiating contracts
Experience with principles and techniques of public acquisition including preparing contracts, writing specifications, and evaluating products and services

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with public sector contract management
Experience with state procurement laws, policies, and procedures including interpreting, applying, and advising leadership
Experience preparing, negotiating, and managing complex IT-related contracts (ie software, hardware, and professional services)
Experience working in higher education
Experience working in and fostering a diverse, multi-cultural environment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of state and federal laws impacting proposed contracts
Knowledge of contract procurement laws and practices
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to explain and present complex financial information in lay terms
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
Strong analytical abilities
Ability to work with a high degree of initiative and dependability
High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturit
