FAS Student Business Services is seeking business officers with extensive managerial experience in higher education student account administration to join our team.  Available positions include working with:

• Interim staff. This is intermittent, full-time work, usually as an acting department director, for the length of an engagement.  Relocation is not necessary. Ability to work remotely and flexibility for weekly travel (at client’s request) are required. 
• Departmental assessments or targeted projects. These jobs usually are short-term business process reviews or projects that identify and help resolve specific issues and concerns within a Student Financial Services/Bursar/Student Accounts operation.  While some travel may be required, remote work can be built into these assignments.

   Successful applicants must have:

• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of student account activities including tuition billing and collections; disbursement and refund processes; cashiering; internal controls; reconciliation; loan servicing; vendor management; e-commerce; and relevant compliance requirements and issues, including but not limited to Title IV, PCI/NACHA and debt collections.
• Ability to work in diverse and complex environments with campus administrators and their staff including those in the business office, financial aid, registrar, enrollment management, and others
• Strong management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as a team member
• Functional knowledge of one or more of the widely-used ERP systems—Banner, Colleague, PeopleSoft, Jenzabar and/or Workday—helpful but not required
• A minimum of 10 years at the manager or director level in student business services (i.e., bursar, student financial services, student accounts)
• A bachelor’s degree (an advanced degree is highly desirable)
