The Associate Director of Strategy and Education reports directly to the Compliance Officer, Revenue Cycle & Program Integrity (CORCPI) within the Office of Healthcare Compliance and Privacy (OHCP). The Associate Director is responsible for developing, implementing and leading Strategy and Education operations focused on hospital and professional revenue cycles of the UCSF Healthcare Compliance Program. This position participates in the identification of revenue cycle compliance objectives, goals, and strategy relative to hospital and professional revenue areas for UCSF Health and Campus and leads the execution for accountable areas to ensure achievement of measurable outcomes. Ensures the identified strategic objectives and goals related to revenue cycle compliance education and training are continously achieved.

Responsible for actively monitoring state, and national regulatory trends/changes, assessing the revenue cycle compliance risk, and the related impact of regulatory changes to revenue cycle and clinical operations. The Associate Director works collaboratively with compliance and organizational leadership to develop, maintain and advance a strategic revenue cycle compliance work plan to effectively address and/or mitigate organizational healthcare compliance risks. Identifies compliance issues, interprets relevant laws, statutes and policies, and recommends and/or leads corrective action plans and compliance projects. Leads a team of high functioning subject matter experts focused on revenue cycle compliance and education and training activities.
