The Assistant/Associate Vice President will serve as the CFO’s primary support in all matters relating to financial planning and analysis, as well as providing coordination and oversight for the team charged with management of the annual operating and capital budgets. The AVP will assist the CFO and other senior College leaders in analysis of significant financial endeavors (such as new program development, capital projects), manage the day-to-day oversight of the debt portfolio, and in conjunction with the Controller and external advisors, assist in the effective strategic management of the College’s cash and long-term financial resources. The candidate will also provide leadership to improve departmental operations, efficiency, and College wide communications about financial matters to constituents with varying levels of financial proficiency. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently and formulate informed views and recommendations based on available data.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years’ experience with financial analysis or financial operations
Essential Functions:
Manage day-to-day aspects of operating budget development and oversight, including coordination and supervision of the Budget Director and Senior Financial Analyst
Capital budget development and oversight
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and forecasting
Conduct financial analysis for proposed new programs, working with Deans and other senior administrators to develop pro-forma financial models
Evaluate financing and refinancing opportunities for capital projects and manage the College’s debt portfolio, including tax-exempt compliance
Treasury and cash management
Development of presentation materials for various constituents, including internal audiences and the Board of Trustees
