Under the general direction of the Director of Student Accounts, this position is responsible for the day to day operations of cashiering services and Student accounts receivable through policy and procedure implementation, recommendation, and compliance. The incumbent provides direct leadership to employees, including recruitment, training, supervision, coaching, and performance evaluation. The incumbent manages staff's workflow to accomplish unit goals and objectives effectively and efficiently. This position acts as the designee in the absence of the director. This position represents the director at meetings, when needed.
Manage the daily operations of Cashiering Services. Determine staffing coverage at three campuses to avoid interruption of services.
Continually review and improve processes to increase operation efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide direct supervision for supervisors on each campus.
Coordinate and oversee all activities associated with personnel management to include recruitment, training, supervision, coaching and performance evaluation for all cashiering related personnel.
Provide direct support to students and parents/guardians regarding student account concerns.
Assist the Director of Student Accounts in the development and implementation of departmental policies, programs, and initiatives of the office.
Work with the Director to ensure proper internal controls are in place to safe guard College assets and that the accounting records are accurate and complete.
Oversee and manage all fiscal related activities of the Student Accounts & Cashiering Offices.
Ensure that we open and maintain purchase orders to manage the daily operations of Cashiering Services.
Represents CSN in system wide discussions regarding the operation of student accounts and Cashiering policies.
Acts as primary level manager for all back office related duties in the absence of the Director.
Undertake special tasks as assigned, including assisting on special projects as specified by the executive team, and serving on various committees.
Perform Cashiering and other student services functions during peak periods or as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIT, Business or Accounting or a related field from a regionally accredited College or University; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 years of experience.
Previous supervisory experience.
Previous customer service experience.
Previous experience with MS Word, Excel.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate to students, faculty, staff, and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous cash handling experience.
Previous higher education experience.
Previous analytical experience.

Knowledge of the PeopleSoft and SIS system of the Nevada System of Higher Education for student accounts.
Knowledge of Query programing relating to PeopleSoft data of student accounts for reporting & benchmarking purposes.
Knowledge of college, Board of Regent, state and federal regulations, and standard accounting practices.
Knowledge and Skills relating to State of Nevada practices for supervision.
Knowledge and Skills relating to collection and bankruptcy practices.
Skills in Customer Service relating to all aspects of student accounts.
Skills to maintain a secure environment related to the Cashier's Office.
Ability to navigate various types of computer systems to answer questions on student accounts.
Ability to deal with stressful scenarios relating to collection of funds for student accounts.
Ability to diffuse unforeseen working demands during the semester cycle for payment of tuition and fees.
Ability to analyze stressful scenarios quickly to alleviate potential hostile customers and/or environments.
Starting Salary Range

The minimum starting salary is $86,898. The successful candidate may be placed above the minimum based on education and experience.
