General Description
The Director of Procurement Services, reporting to the Executive Director of Financial Management and Administration, will supervise the Office of Procurement Services, which includes the Consultant Contract and Construction Contract Units. The Office of Procurement Services is responsible for overseeing the procurement of architectural, engineering and related services and the management of the construction contract process on behalf of CUNY’s Senior and Community Colleges.
Other Duties
Supervise all aspects of contract management, including:
Procurement planning
Purchasing Planning
Purchasing and Contract Development
Determination of Procurement Method
Negotiating with Vendors
Managing the Solicitation Process from Identification of Need to Contract Registration
Oversight of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) contract goals, compliance, reporting and Workforce Utilization
Qualifications
Qualifications:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and 10 years of paid full-time professional experience; 5 years of which is at a managerial level in contracting or procurement services, OR
Equivalent combination of an advanced degree and relevant professional and managerial experience, AND
The candidate must have strong communication skills, as well as highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a diverse environment, AND
Candidate must have excellent computer skills.
