Job DescriptionThe primary responsibilities will include assisting in theprogramming and maintenance of the Degree Audit system including codingof academic program requirements, responding to specific problemsgenerated by users, participating in testing, analyzing processing issues,troubleshooting problems, and training/support of college and academicdepartment staff.
The incumbent will assist with analyzing, building, updating,and maintaining the degree audit and evaluation system. In addition, this person will provide academiccurriculum consulting and auditing, data and operational analysis, and systemmaintenance services to the Office of Student Services, Boston College schoolsand departments. This individual will provide training to the campus communityregarding the use and interpretation of the degree audit, course and curriculum,and reporting systems. Analyzing, and documenting procedures to extract andpresent data from multiple sources in required format for end-users will becritical. A final key aspect of the role is to liaise with colleges anddepartments about degree requirements and progression and helping to troubleshootissues related to degree audit.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $61,650 to $77,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience in data query software, filemanagement, or data analysis and retrieval; encoding experience with degreeaudit software such as College Source Uachieve strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently manage frequent interruptions andability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to develop, implement and monitor data processes andstandards with strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
College Source Uachieve degree audit tool software knowledgeand experience.
Demonstrated ability to gather and provide analysis for userrequirements and produce appropriate data for all operational functions.
Capability of making informed decisions regarding softwareuse and changes to degree audit programs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Filemaker Pro,Etrieve, Uachieve,
Google Suite
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and strong oral and writtencommunication
skills.
Preferred:
Documentation and statistical software experience.
Student system knowledge.
Experience with web-based network technology and internet-baseddata
collections.
