The University of Southern Maine invites applications for a Senior Director of Auxiliary Services. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the Senior Director of Auxiliary Services will provide high-level entrepreneurial leadership, operational oversight, fiscal accountability, and strategic planning for all operations, and maximizing net income under the umbrella of Auxiliary Services, whose purpose is to fulfill a dynamic array of services and grow revenue streams that support the campus communities and further the mission of the University of Southern Maine.
The Senior Director of Auxiliary Services will oversee USM's auxiliary operations including but not limited to Conferences, Sullivan Recreation and Fitness Center, Parking and Transportation, the University Store, Dining, and Housing. The Senior Director will have responsibility for maximizing the financial viability of the assigned operations and fostering collaboration among with areas and with the campus community. The Senior Director will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and actively development additional services and revenue streams while operating in accordance with campus and System policies and procedures and working in collaboration with and under the direction of the Chief Business Officer.

This is a full-time position with a starting annual salary up to $90,000 commensurate with experience. This position will be based primarily on the Portland Campus.

Required Qualifications:
A master’s degree, or the equivalent in education and experience, and 7 or more years of related, progressively responsible leadership experience is required.
Must have demonstrated success in managing an auxiliary operation(s), preferably in higher education.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be experienced and effective at leading, motivating, and mentoring staff, and building and inspiring collaborative teams.
